Naya Marie Rivera (born January 12, 1987) known simply as Naya Rivera is an American actress and singer. Naya was raised in Valencia, Santa Clarita, California. At an early age, Naya began to be represented by a talent agent and later moved to Los Angeles to pursue modeling, where she featured in small commercials and acting roles.In 2009 Naya had her breakthrough when she was cast to portray Santana Lopez in the musical comedy-drama television series Glee, she went on to receive numerous accolades for her role in the series. In 2009 Rivera signed recording contract with Columbia Records in which she is set to release her debut album.
